Phase 2 of our construction project is progressing. The inside of the building has been upgraded and renovated. Upgrades include: classroom and hallway lighting, electical service, bathroom upgrades, the conversion of the old media center into a fully equipped science lab and a general use classroom, a complete renovation of the gymnasium, a new book storage area for guided reading books, and a teacher workroom. The classroom areas are all complete and the gym is expected to be complete and ready for student use on September 29, 2009. The gym was completely redone with a new floor, removal of ceiling tiles to enable the installation of new ductwork for HVAC, new bleachers, wall pads, scoreboard, new basketball backboards/hoops, and lobby restoration. The open ceiling design enables everyone to see the previously hidden circular and square window design that was in the original structure.
